Our Grade II listed cottage, some 250 years old, combines two former cottages which provide character accommodation, with many original features, in the heart of this quiet and peaceful village. This is an ideal base for excellent walking and cycling in the heart of The Peak National Park with Bradford Dale, Lathkill Dale, the Limestone Way and High Peak trail close by. Sailing is also possible at Carsington Water. . Golf courses at Ashbourne, Buxton , Bakewell & Matlock.
Accommodation
The cottage is entered directly into the lounge with a welcoming wood burning stove & fireplace and leads via a lobby to the well fitted breakfast kitchen. The central lobby leads through to a separate dining room with beamed ceiling and occasional seating. The steep and winding stairs from the lobby lead to the main bedroom (King size bed) with dressing room, en suite shower, hand basin & toilet. A second flight of stairs from the opposite end of the lobby ascend to the other two twin bedded rooms. There is a further bathroom with bath, hand basin and toilet. To the front of the cottage is a pretty cottage garden and to the rear there is a secluded garden for use by our guests. Bicycle storage is available in a rear outbuilding. There is also a cellar containing the washer, freezer, two condensor dryers & central heating boiler.. On road parking is immediately to the front of the cottage.
