The Peveril of the Peak takes it's name from a historical novel by Sir Walter Scott, this 3 Star hotel dates back to the 1830's.

The Peveril of the Peak has 11 acres of manicured gardens and grounds, and the 3 Star Country House Hotel has the towering Thorpe Cloud as a backdrop, Thorpe Pastures on one side, and numerous footpaths and trails passing through its grounds, along with the famous sepping stones on River Dove, on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border.

The Garden Restaurant
Our elegant Garden Restaurant overlooking our gorgeous grounds may be used for your wedding breakfast and celebrations until 17:00pm. We can cater for up to 100 people. An exclusive venue! You will experience the best of modern British cuisine.
The Dovedale Suite
The Dovedale Suite can cater for up to 170 people in the afternoon and evening and has its own private bar. During the evening why not enjoy a buffet with a disco or a dance. Just relax and enjoy yourselves!

Bedrooms
Offering a choice of 45 spacious en-suite bedrooms, some of which are south-facing and boasts magnificent views of the fields and hills of the Peak District. These rooms are all tastefully furnished and decorated to the highest standards, and with luxury coming as standard presents a beautiful base from which to enjoy the surrounding area or relax in the serene atmosphere of the Hotel and it's surroundings.
With their own personal patios, each with wooden tables and chairs, they are individual and relaxing, whilst being understated and luxurious. All the rooms are spacious in design, have a sofa and those small extras which are so important for the ultimate break. All our rooms have tea and coffee facilities available, room service, trouser press, additional heaters and hair dryers for your enjoyment and comfort.
Many of our 45 en-suite bedrooms are suitable for families and many have spectacular views over the Peak District. Each room comes fully equipped with colour TV with Satellite Stations plus Sky Sports channels available. Guest telephones as well as modem points are available.
